Welcome to the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Dhaka. Since its establishment on July 1, 2014, the department has been dedicated to advancing applied mathematics through education and research. As part of the Faculty of Science, we aim to contribute to Bangladesh’s development by fostering innovation and academic excellence in this field.
The University of Dhaka, founded in 1921, previously offered Master’s degrees in Applied Mathematics under the Department of Mathematics. Now, as an independent department, we continue that legacy with a modern approach to meet the growing demands of higher education and research in applied mathematics.
